So I have to declare this year one of the best years in terms of Autumn Colour photographs. Now that doesn’t mean I am satisfied at all, but it does mean it is a huge improvement. Lots of great autumn colour photographs taken in Rouge Park and at various points in the Niagara Region. Unfortunately this year, autumn colours declared themselves independent from the rest of nature quite early in the season thus we lost the opportunity to see a lot of leaves change colour.
That didn’t mean that there was no colour because there still was a spectacular turn out…
And some autumn snacks too…?
So all in all pretty good right? Well the unfortunate thing is that as much as I enjoy myself at Dundurn, I am still on “contract” so the folks are nagging me about applying for a “full time” job. I’d actually much prefer just focusing my efforts on Wandering Enterprises which is inching forward bit by bit currently, but again the nagging force continues relentlessly!
Recently there was a huge surge in invitations to parties … and I swear i’d love to go to all of them … but how on earth can I make it to three parties on the same day?! Must people choose Saturday all the time? How about Friday? Anyways… on wards … I recently applied to a position up in the North West Territories. While 90 percent of people believe I have lost my insanity, I really don’t have a problem with moving up there as long as they provide me with good and interesting work, and I am able to live out my day to day life enjoyably in a comfortable and clean apartment. That is really all I ask for.
The other day, I passed by a homeless man who just mumbled to me, “Have a good day sir.” I was going to pass by as I normally do, but something stopped me and made me go back to talk to the man. He was an interesting fellow who decided to sit by The Keg near Front and Church (near where I work) just to listen to the great music that they were playing all day. Sometimes I wonder, if I could do that … although I would likely die of boredom within the first few hours. Regardless … I wished him the best and off I went back to the office.
Lincoln Alexander’s memoirs is coming out! Quite the event for Dundurn I would say. Particularly since I attended Guelph and while I never did shake Link’s hand … I do respect him greatly as an individual. I look forward to reading his memoirs when I have the opportunity. Look out for it on http://www.myopicsheep.com/
Speaking of Myopic Sheep … I think I might start making some merch with the logo… anyone interested?
And this’ll be the end of the Monday ranting report because it is now dinner time!
