Just last night I was in a bar & between me & my friend we'd ordered a drink too many for us & our group so I found the nearest guy waiting and gave him the extra one I'd bought. Worth it just for the surprise & look on his face. My favourite story like this is of a friend of mine who used to work in a bookshop. She stopped to talk to tramps on the street who she saw reading books to ask what kind of things they liked to read & then when books came in damaged that matched the description she would go find them and give them something to read. Better than just binning them. But I loved the effort & empathy involved I love it when things like this happen.
