So 2009 has really gotten off to a fast fast start. My new job has left my brain numb every evening most of last week but it’s actually a great thing because I wake up the next day yearning for more.
It’s also a really good thing that I finished up my part-time courses in 2008 and currently am holding off new courses until the latter part of the year.
But observing people embrace change and change itself in different environments — beginning with a change in workplace, the industry I work in, in politics, in the economy, my lifestyle, and seeing the change in friends and family — leaves me in a state where I want to overhaul this site to something more refined and a little more representative of who I am.
More introductions to the different facets and personas of me — my life and my over-analyses, sans the scatterbrained approaach. I’m aiming for a somewhat tighter integration between this website and all my interactions across social media. Unfortunately this means I will cut down on a lot of widgets. That said, sites that provide more freedom to their users (i.e. data portability or adaptive widgets) will almost always receive support from me — I’ve always been a major proponent.
Of course — this is all still work in progress. I haven’t had too much time.
The Safetygoat leaps out of its natural habitat — an envelope?!
But what really thrilled me over the past week was the arrival of a Safetygoat! Thanks to Kat, a brilliant web designer and fellow Canadian who resides over in the UK, I now have a little friend who keeps me company at work. The most awesome thing about the little Safetygoat is that she made it and she was very kind to send one overseas across the Atlantic to a cold cold Toronto. Many thanks Kat!
Funny enough — it actually matches the colours of my office space (aka. cubicle) and computer at work quite well! I’ll post a picture of it later at some point.
If you want to see where other safetygoats have gone, check it out on Flickr!

Support well deserved I’d say. No no thank you for sending him over! He keeps me company at my desk at work
I gotta take him out and shoot some more photos to tag!
Dude – I love the new look of your site! Super clean and easy to read. One of the best Thesis customizations I’ve seen
